Ron Hansen

Ron Hansen is the owner of Wind River Outdoor Company and Fly Shop in Lander, WY. His career in fly fishing started at the early age of 6 when he chased trout around the Wind River Mountains above Lander, WY. Some 42 years later, his interest in the sport is still burning strong and he now operates one of the best fly shops in not only Wyoming but also the Western US. Ron was born and raised on a ranch in Lander, WY, and attended the University of Wyoming where he obtained multiple degrees before graduating in 1995 and then obtaining his Executive MBA in 2003.

Ron is married to his lovely wife, Courtney, and they have two children – Whitney and Craig. Ron is heavily involved in ranching, real estate, and retail business operations in the Lander/Riverton, WY market while his wife is part-owner in Fremont Physical Therapy Group. Ron’s company is also the only Wyoming-based company with guide operations on the Green River at Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge in SW Wyoming.
